LONG Over Due...

Well it has been a very long time since my last blog, Time has just flown by so fast and so much has been happening!!

I started mentoring two girls at Werribee Secondary, that's going well! Its taking awhile for the girls to open up, but I'm sure they will once I've earned their trust.

We launched our Friday Night Youth Church at Wyndham City on April 25th, its been going great!!! 2 New Commitments, and 2 Re-commitments since we started! PRAISE GOD! :D

On April 25th I started going out with Ronald Stobie, surprising for some! But very good for us. He's great, and one of the most caring, loving boys I know :)

May 9th, Mum turned 43! I spent the weekend up there for her birthday and Mothers day. It was really nice getting to spend time with the family, I hardly get the chance to do that now with so much busyness in my life!

Red Shield went really well! Wyndham City raised about $30,000. More than last year I think, which is a great effort for all of us who helped out.

Not much else has happened that I can think of, Kids Camp is this weekend. Ronald and I are going to that, as well as the other MCD people in my class. Keep us, the other leaders and the kids in your prayers! I'm sure God is going to bless the weekend hugely!

Aaron comes back this weekend to! YAY! Very Excited. Even though I've hardly noticed him not being around because I've been so busy! hehe :P

Hope this blog finds you all well. A special mention here for Linda.. I know I promised to update this last week! But time escaped me, blame Ronald now he's got his license and car I cant get rid of him! haha nah I'm sorry, I didn't realise how much stuff I had to do for the last week of classes.

Love you All! God Bless you tons!!

Could almost be the best Easter ever?

Easter camp was so much fun! Tiring, extremely full on, but so full of God and his amazing work!

The Mark*d Foundationers did the Friday morning worship session, It went extremely well. The Clip from the Passion made a huge impact, and we had such great feed back from the campers and fellow leaders. :)

Saturday morning we went out into the community and did some outreach! We had people cleaning up rubbish, washing the post office steps, gardening, evangelising and drawing chalk drawings! The Mount Evelyn people were so encouraging and it was great to have so many people come up and tell us how pleased they were to have us there.

Sunday started off early with the dawn service. It was a great day of celebration of the Risen King. The candidates did the later morning Sunday worship which was a big party for Jesus! Sunday night was a great end to the camp with a great time of worship and response followed by a leader verse camper game of night time spotlight.

The weekend was great, God was doing amazing stuff! We had people give their lives to him for the first time, people recommitting their lives, and people getting PHYSICALLY healed! (read James Thompson's Blog for details). It was great going to camp and getting to know so many knew people.

Last night (Easter Monday) I had the opportunity to go to the Monday night Rezfest. It was awesome! Planet shakers played, along with Roma Waterman, Compliments of Gus and Jars of Clay. Towards the end of the night, the heavens opened... It was pouring with Rain, huge strikes of lightning and loud claps of thunder. It was so much fun running around outside the tent in the rain while listening to the music coming from inside. The rain was great and well over due and it was such a great end to an awesome weekend.

Sorry if this post doesn't make to much sense and isn't as detailed as it could be, I'm still rather tired and recovering from the big weekend!

Remember the 6Th of April, my enrollment as a senior soldier! 10.30am at Werribee Salvation Army!! BE THERE! :D
Love you all dearly, God bless you immensely!

Jesus is my Rock!

Well friends it has been a little while since my last blog, and I am very sorry! Especially to Linda, who seems to be a dedicated reader of this blog!

God is doing Awesome things at the moment, and in others lives around me! I find it Amazing how aware I have become of this lately when something good (or bad depending on how WE [emphasis on the we :)] look at it) happens I am able to say/think 'That's God's doing!". I have always been a big believer, and it's probaby something to do with Faith being my spiritual gift, that no matter what happens to us God is there working his magic. It may seem horrible at the time but in almost all cases Ive come across, something good has come out of something bad; and if it hasnt there's always something to learn from them!

Ok so that was just something random that kind of just came out! But who knows someone may get something out of it!

Anyway, this weekend has been a fantastic weekend! Starting Friday, I didnt work Friday night! I have been rostered on to do Friday nights for way over a year now, but now I have it off every week! Im very very excited if you cant tell. I instead went to our 'Pure' Youth Pre-Meeting, Meeting. The meetings we are having to prepare and get ready for our Big Launch of our Friday Night Church. Called 'Pure' Youth. Its a Church for youth, run by youth! We are launching it 25th April (ANZAC Day) So for all or any youth reading this, keep that night free and be there! Itll be awesome!

Saturday was our 'Girls Day Out'! It was very unorganised and unplanned but thats what made it fun! Well I had fun at least. We started the day by heading to Ocean Grove and having lunch, we then went to Williamstown and had an Ice Cream after which we went to the beach! Yes, to all Melbournians reading this, it was very cold!!

My Day today started with the Cadets Welcoming Meeting! It was a fantastic Meeting. God has great plans for all of those taking on the call to Officership! I then went to Werribees meeting and came to realise that the main topic of the day was about remembering that Jesus is our Rock and we need to stand firm on the rock! We all know what happened to the house that was built on Sand rather than Rock dont we?! (if you dont, then open your Bibles and read Luke 6:46-49) The house didn't last one day of bad weather, it fell apart! And we too will fall apart without Jesus! So Be like the wise man and build your house on a Rock. (by the way, in saying house I mean Faith :) ) Come on, Do it! Jesus Loves you no matter what! There is so much more I could say on this topic but that will have to be said another day. Im tired and so will just end up rambling. Which I kind of am! haha!

Bless you all!

Happy New Year!

Good Evening Fellow Blog Readers!
Well it is the 16th Day of the First Month of 2008, How has the year treated you all so far??
So far for me its been a pretty good year. Worked lots, so have a good amount of money now to get my car its much needed new muffler :D YAY!
I've also been home alone for these past couple of weeks, been good to be 'free' and do as I please.
Today I had a meeting with Sandra and Mim about the Gap Year, AKA Mark*d Foundations (http://www.salvationarmy.org.au/markd). It sounds fantastic!! I can't wait to start. For those of you who havent heard of it, its a year that gives recent Yr 12's a year to focus on Ministry (in particular Youth and Childrens Ministry) before they head in to other areas of study. We do 4 subjects at the college over the year and 7 hours prac work at a Corp (most likely I will be atWyndham City AKA Werribee). We also get to help organise and go on all the Youth and Kids Camps DHQ run. To me it sounds like lots of fun!!
Thats pretty much it so far for this year, I have been kinda slack on my New Years Resolutions its quite hard to get into a new habit, but I know that once holidays are over and I have more of a routine it will become easier.
Hope the year has treated you well so far and that you are all sticking to any New Years Resolutions you made.
Love and GodBless you all!!
